On July 11th, 2010, we lost our friend Nate "Oteka" Henn to a terrorist bombing in Kampala, Uganda. Nate spent his life advocating for peace and education in East and Central Africa.
He worked without pay at Invisible Children as a Roadie and assistant, raising awareness about abducted child soldiers and LRA atrocities. He worked to raise money that would rebuild schools and provide education to northern Uganda's war-affected children.
After Nate’s death, the Henn family wanted other people to have the opportunity to speak with their lives the way Nate did--to speak with their hands and feet and humble service. They direct people who want to honor his life to donate to the Nate "Oteka" Henn Memorial Fund. This fund is used to support the Invisible Children Roadie internship and the awareness efforts that Nate made his life.
Blessed are the peacemakers. We love you, Nate.
