Short Films

I always keep a camera with me, just in case something unusual take place. In this case, I had my little backup Canon HV-20 HDV camera while at a meeting at Fire Station 76 in the Cahuenga Pass. While we were talking, it seemed that the Cahuenga Pass was becoming foggy - in the middle of the afternoon. So, we opened the door, and there, across the freeway, the shoulder was ablaze. Calling a "still alarm," E76 suited up in brush gear, and we were off. I typically don't care much for shooting with a small consumer-style camera, but this footage clearly shows that good material can be recorded with any device. I only wish I had one of the new Panasonic GH1 still/video cameras with me. This would have been a perfect test for it!
