IF luxurious lingerie and housework don't seem to have much in common for you, you haven't been spending enough time with director Justin Anderson, who has just created a short film for lingerie label Damaris, based on the seemingly unsexy pursuit, entitled Chore.
"Whilst researching the film I spent a lot of time standing behind the statue of Aphrodite at the British Museum," Anderson told VOGUE.COM "I felt that the backside of the goddess of love was a good place to start. I love the bottom - it is quite literally sculpture on legs."
The film is based around the rituals behind domestic chores. Anderson discovered in his research that women tend to have a ritual to their cleaning routine, like their beauty or exercise routine, which is unique and performed in solitude.
"As a friend of Justin's, having known him for many years, I had no doubt that his work would be utterly perfect to collaborate with the Damaris brand," designer Damaris Evans said. "He has an impeccable eye, inspiring taste, and is incredibly fun to be around - what a perfect combination to enter an exciting project with."
