A short fiction student film made by Piotr Andrejew in the course of the second year of studies at the Director's Dept. of the Polish National Film School in Łódź, in March of 1971.
Senior Polish director Janusz Morgenstern has been a tutor of this film, while late DP Kazimierz Konrad tutored camera work.
Both actors are naturals - Anna Mikke - now a painter and graphic designer in Paris, was at the time a student at the Art Academy in Łódź, Antoni Bogusławski was Andrejew's colleague at the Director's Dept.
Among the trivia:
Bogusławski has been selected for the part because having previously served in a road police patrol, he could ride a motorcycle.
The bed in the film is covered by a huge portrait of Władysław Gomułka, Polish communist leader removed from power shortly before the film has been made. Both characters of the film sit on it.
The film has been shot on two batches of ORWO 35mm neg. A large portion of the exposed material has been waisted because of the poor negative quality.
Freeze-frames in the film were made on the set by asking the actor to remain static in the middle of his movement.
