I made this video to show the forest walk at La Reserva in Costa Rica and what inspired me to create the La Reserva Forest Foundation (LRFF) in 2005, now a U.S. 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Website http://lrff.org .
This forest walk demonstrates the connectivity of life in the tropical forest, and how quickly deforested land can be restored and provide biodiversity and habitat for flora and fauna. LRFF focuses mainly on creating biological corridors to reconnect isolated forests left behind after deforestation, and now allowing the migration of previously trapped wildlife.
The forest walk has inspired countless people to change their lives in small or great ways. It has led to the planting of 70,000 trees for the restoration of native tropical forest. And now we are working on new projects to restore the forests on lands owned by farmers nearby.
