Living with a Rare Disease

For the 2013 festival, ffresh teamed up with The Co-operative Cymru/Wales to produce a short film competition to find young filmmakers to create 2 factual short films that reflect the people, communities, and culture of Wrexham (the host city of ffresh 2013).

Charlie Bear by Glyndŵr University student Hayley Wiliams documents the story of Charlie Lewis, a young boy with Smith-Magenis Syndrome – a very rare developmental disorder that affects approximately one in 25,000 – and his parents Kim and Dave Lewis.
