Footage from the maybe most famous hiking trail in Zion NP: The Narrows. Since I did not know what to expect in terms of water levels and there being talk of swimming sections I only brought my B-cam (a GH13 with a B-grade sensor) and an old 28mm lens, leaving the other and better equipment in the car. I did regret that decision later. Water might be breast high a few times (me being 6'2), but going up the Narrows there is no serious danger for the cam (the through hike from top to bottom is another matter).
If I had brought my 11-16 mm Tokina, well, then one would see more of the steep cliffs and walls rising from the bottom. Alas.
Footage starts at the Orderville Canyon Junction and most of the images are from that point up-river. I did not film much before getting there, because there was not much light early in the morning and on the way back people started piling up making the canyon deserving the name "Narrows" for yet another reason ;-)
This being the case there are consequently no images of the deeper sections down river.
