Harry Howard and the NDE launch their second album Pretty, out on Spooky Records, tomorrow night at the Tote. Unlike their dark debut, Pretty is an upbeat post-punk and new-wave inspired album set to make many top-10 album lists for 2013, including Sticky's. NDE (Near Death Experience) features an all-star line-up with author Edwina Preston on keys, the renowned Dave Graney on bass and Australian treasure Clare Moore on drums. Guitarist and singer Harry played alongside his older brother Rowland S. Howard in These Immortal Souls, Birthday Party and Crime and the City Solution as well as Pink Stainless Tail and Christian High Art Boutique. At the recent ATP festival, Release the Bats, he performed alongside Mick Harvey, Genevieve McGuckin, JP Shilo as well as members of HTRK, Standish/Carlyon and Beasts of Bourbon in Pop Crimes, the tribute to Rowland who died in 2009.
