This is our sizzle reel to raise funds to finish a documentary on Carlo Mazzone-Clementi, founder of Dell'Arte International, colleague of Marcel Marceau, Jacques Lecoq, AmletoSsartori and Dario Fo - all instrumental in creating the revival of the Italian commedia dell'Arte after World War II. Carlo brought this movement to the U.S. in the late 50s, influencing such diverse groups as the San Francisco Mime Troupe, El Teatro de Campesino, ACT's seminal commedia version of "Taming of the Shrew", not to mention the street performer movement in the 60s, 70s & 80s that spawned such talents as Hovey Burgess at NYU, Avner the Eccentric, and countless mime/clown performers.
This film is a Laughing Angels co-production with Next Step Studios in association with Dell'Arte International.
