An experiment at a docu-music-video telling the story of a dying 'old-world' on an island being reinvented by the tourism industry.
One small island, Boracay. A tale of two different sides just 100m apart. My latest video with the Panasonic GH1. To get a better idea of the image quality from the camera, blow it up full screen on a TV or projector, it looks miles better than on a computer screen!
Lenses used: kit lens and Contax Zeiss 85mm F1.4
UPDATE: I have written a blog on the making of this video here - eoshd.com/content/2804/modernisation-shot-on-the-gh1-in-boracay
I feel the Canon DSLRs have a march on Panasonic, but it shouldn't be that way. Join together and start shooting on the GH1!! Use 16mm cine lenses. Use vintage c-mount primes. Use Contax Yashica mount Zeiss glass at bargain prices. Even use the kit lens. It's fantastically adaptable to all kinds of situations. I'd like to see more competition in the HDSLR market, and not just have Canon dominating everything.
