This is a Verite film. A documentary that's meant to be a fly on the wall rather than a willing participant.
While working for Biosilk, I was able to film the entire experience of the DVF show held in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2014 in New York City. The short film gets a look inside the hectic chaos behind Diane's latest show, special guest appearances, several celebrities and of course, the new era supermodels within the entire International Fashion industry scope.
To me, the art of the cinema verite film is an endangered species. And these days it becomes more of an escape in documentary filmmaking, where quick cuts and short attention spans will surely falter, and to those who get a chance to appreciate the slow burn, finer nuances of filmmaking, will have an appreciation for this type of work.
