With rising petrol costs and the financial uncertainty of big Japanese auto makers, Takaoka Motors is proving that big isn't always better. They make only a hundred cars a year (all hand made) but are looking to expand into growing markets such as China and India.
By going back to the basics Takaoka hopes to inspire new generation of Japanese car makers.
