The "Male Folklore Group" from Zlatograd getting ready for a performance. Coming from the region of the Rhodope Mountains in Southern Bulgaria, these men sing and play folklore songs specific for this area only. Most of the songs are slow and give a somber feeling of longing for a place, or for a long lost person. The bagpipe melody is defined by a pentatonica, which is the range of five specific notes the song consists of.
