Englishtown/Raceway Park held its first annual Food Truck Festival/Classic Car/Import/BMX Show/Diesel Truck Show on October 26, 2013. The event featured of course, more Food Trucks than anyone might normally see at ANY event they have attended, and there was food certain to appeal to virtually everyone.
In addition to the Food Truck Festival, the event title indicates, there was a Classic Car and Import Car Show going on as well. The Car Show drew somewhere around 65 vehicles, among which were some stock classics, Muscle Cars, Streetrods, and Hotrods.
At the end of, and intertwined with the Car Show were a number of light duty, medium duty, and heavy duty Pickup Trucks on display, and those vehicles were also allowed to participate in some bracket racing, as well as take a shot at having their vehicles put on a Dyno to check out just what kind of horsepower and torque numbers their vehicles were putting down.
While strolling from the Show area, to the Trackside to watch the racing, one could also take a slight detour through the small Vendor section at the event, where such items as Model Cars, custom stickers, Aimsoil, and cigars could be found.
The entertainment for the day included a number of live Country music Bands, and a live broadcast by NJ 101.5’s |”Big Joe Henry.”
All in all a nice first time event, and one I would recommend giving a look see next Fall, when the event comes along again.
