This is a homebrew model. It is a kevlar fuse and 2 sets of wings i picked up from a charity auction. The wings are carbon spas and built up balsa construction. I thought they looked good so added a tail and fin from balsa. The wings are attached with elastic bands so the model should take just about any wings i could get my hands on, up to 2.5/3m depending on aspect ration).
So i ended up with the Dua-Lite, dual wings and light (the weight is 338g minus battery). I added a AAA at about 60g, so weight is about 400g, fliight time with that set up is many many hours.
When i arrived at the slope, i tried the first set of wings, it actually flew very nicely. Unfortunately it was raining, but it still flew well, in the very poor lift, slope hugging to keep in the narrow lift band.
Then i tried the second set, and patience is a virtue, the weather cleared up, the lift improved, the sun shone and i caught some micro thermals and was in the clouds.
