This is a little "fly through" I made with Quartz Composer.
I wanted to have a complex scene, and navigate through it.
I made use of a few elements that I need to give credits for:
- The space cruiser - I downloaded this from Google 3D warehouse. Despite much searching, I cannot find the original link, though the model is simply called "robot".
-The actual "game level". The link for this model is: Derelict Town -
- The basic concept that allows the object to fly through space and bank corners - this is from Steve Mokris and Chris Wright.
- The lens blur effect. This came from here :
-The assortment of glitchy stuff comes from copious amounts of v002 analog glitch, 525, and fbo texture.
-v002 Film Technicolor:1.
-Kineme Value Historian for recording my live "flythrough" so that I could use that data for an offline render with Kineme's Quartz Crystal.
- Some sci-fi soundtrack sounds from archive.org
The one element that keeps this from running in realtime at this speed is the lens blur. With the glitch I've layered on top, I could probably get away with a quicker zoom blur effect for something similar. Without lens blur, it runs effectively in realtime.
