On a scorching hot day in Fairfield, CA Val and Taek had an amazingly heart felt wedding. The day started out with a little pick up game of basketball with the groomsmen. I have to admit some of these guys knew how to play ball. Valerie was in room 103 right below Taek’s room 203 getting ready with her bridesmaids. Hairspray was flowing and they had a little lunch before the ceremony. Emotions started to come out as they exchange cards and gifts.
A beautiful ceremony and reception were held at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, which is tucked away in a nice little canyon just off the 80 going out to Sacramento, CA. The ceremony was held outdoors and was probably one of the most heartfelt ceremonies I have ever attended. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but a tear formed in my eye during the ceremony. Both had written their own vows and poured their hearts out to each other. The authenticity was overwhelming.
The reception was held inside the clubhouse, which was located just off the 18th hole. They had a popcorn theme with several different types of kettle corn. Each table was identified, by one of their favorite movies. The night was full of more emotion fun and festivities. All the speeches were a great testimony to whom Valerie and Taek were as people and the tears kept flowing. At one point Taek even serenaded Valerie with a song. Dancing followed into the late hours of the night. Tunes were great as we were tempted to hit the dance floor a few times.
