Bria and Dave's wedding was a creative, magical, and authentic inspiration to all who attended. The Wedding took place at Ocean Song, a magnificent setting, located in the serene coastal hills of Sonoma County. The rustic and elegant beauty, combined with the breathtaking ocean view sweeps from Mount Tamalpais to Point Reyes were amazing, though on this particular morning there was an abundance of fog that gave the wedding a magical and sureal feel.
The day started off with Dave and Bria at their respective family houses in Sebastopol getting ready. Both exude an amazing ability to be true and pure with their feelings in the moment. Franck stayed with Bria and I rode with Dave and his brother to Ocean Song. The ceremony was about a 5-minute walk down a winding trail out onto a hilltop. Being of Jewish decent the couple was escorted to the ceremony by family and the closest brothers and sisters held a chuppa over their heads as they walked up the winding path to the top of the hill where they were to be wed. The ceremony was a hybrid of Jewish culture and Self Realization Fellowship. It was authentic and light with two officiants and several prayers being read. After the ceremony ended there was a receiving line down the long winding path that seemed to be a half-mile long.
Hummingbird and butterfly gardens and oaks border the reception lawn, which instead of tables and chairs they had picnic blankets and baskets. Each blanket was fitted with a basket with flowers, salt and peppershakers, jars and cups for drinking wine, beer and other tasty drinks. Both families who were both extremely musically talented provided entertainment. Speeches in general were hilarious to the point where both Franck and I couldn't contain ourselves. After a beautiful dinner on the lawn everyone moved inside the barn for a night full of crazy and wild dancing. Bria and Dave danced barefoot in the barn with some of the best dancing we have ever seen at a wedding!
