This is my entry into the Saatchi & Saatchi Hello Future Music Video Competition with Moby and Vimeo. For more information on thie music video competition please see: vimeo.com/saatchiandsaatchi .
Directed, Edited, and Filmed by Victoria Taylor-Gore. Music "Be the One" from the album "Destroyed" by Moby.
I like to use symbolism in my work that implies a surreal narrative, so the viewer can complete the story from their own experience, feelings, and imagination. What I will say about this film is that some of the things I thought about while I listened to Moby's beautiful "Be the One" were: Love. Possession. Addiction. Sacrifice. Forgiveness. Redemption. Hello, Future.
The main characters in this film are dolls that I have collected for several years. These magical handmade dolls are by Gusti Ngurah Semarajaya at novica.com . Other objects are part of my own collection, with some added props that I found on sale at Hobby Lobby :) Part of the wonder of filmmaking for me is transforming ordinary objects into vessels of meaning and expression.
Shot with a Canon 7D and a Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro lens. Editing was done in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.
