This is part 1 of the video of the Annapolis MWA September Meeting With Maryland writer Sarah Pinsker. Sarah is a Maryland author and musician. Her talk is entitled "What Being a Touring Musician Taught Me About Writing & Selling Science Fiction, Fantasy, & Literary Fiction."
As a musician, Sarah writes songs about the people who have slipped through the cracks: graffiti artists, sideshow stars, and others who lurk around the dark borders of dreams. Her albums, released on various indie labels, are available on iTunes and CDBaby. Live videos of her performances are available on youtube under her name and her band's name, the Stalking Horses.
Sarah's novel "Pilot Program" won the Gold Award in the 2012 MWA Novel contest (Sci-Fi category). , and her story "Twenty Ways the Desert Could Kill You" was voted Daily Science Fiction's top story of 2012.
