INDEPENDENT DOCUMENTARY FILM CHANNEL

One more glimpse of remote, interior Ladakh, where thousands of tourists flock to every year from all over the world. Here hundreds of Indians fly to every year, ever since Bollywood put it's footprint, like it’s the annual pilgrimage of the thrill seekers, ticking one thing off the bucket list.

Ladakh sees its fair weather friends for four warm summer months, returning to its cold lonely winter all by itself. We started shooting at the end of November; with the advent of winter Leh's tourist district was already an empty ghost town. Our journey with the volunteers and workers of 17000 ft Foundation took us deep inside Nyoma block. We visited several schools - nomadic, residential, middle and primary schools and even a nunnery almost at the top of a glacier.

Here's a tiny clip from the 30 hours of footage and sound we have collected over the fortnight. We are about to finish our first round of looking through the footage, listening to the sound. While we gear up for the edit - keep watching this pace for more updates.
