Round 5 of Formula Drift was held at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington and it was probably the most memorable for Tyler Mcquarrie Racing. Evergreen Speedway is none for 1 of the best crowds in Formula Drift history and also the big bank on turn 1. This was JR Hildebrand who is a Indy Car drivers first event with the drift car and he held his own on the big bank that a lot of Veterans got taken out in either top 32 or top 16 competition. JR did not qualify for top 32 practice but that is not stopping him from pushing harder in Texas which will be a new track for everyone. On the other hand Tyler was feeling good and qualified for the Top 32 and faced Kenny Moen. Tyler got the win and went on to face Fredrick Aasbo who has been on fire this season and definitely would give Tyler fierce competition, Tyler took a hard fought loss and gave it all he got and ended up placing 15th overall in the event and 17th in the Series. Tyler is making positive strides and hopefully can get on the podium in Texas and push higher in the rankings.
