Exploring Our Urban Forests at Chet F Harritt Elementary School
San Diego Children and Nature Collaborative and Chet F Harritt Elementary School

This film showcases nature/school yard based curriculum at Chet Harritt Elementary School in Santee. Teachers are working with nature coordinators to implement hands-on, nature-based curriculum using the nature in their very own school yard.

This program is funded by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Calfire), San Diego Children and Nature Collaborative, and San Diego Audubon Society. It provides teachers with the tools to continue this method of nature-based teaching well beyond the grant funding.
