I wanted to let you know how special you are to me. I remember the day we brought you home. We lived in New Jersey and neighbors a few blocks away were giving away free kittens. We had been looking for a ginger kitten for a long time. They had not one ginger kitten - but two. It seemed a crazy idea to bring back two kittens when we already had a pair of adult cats at home. But we did - you and your brother Phoenix. You loved to snuggle and slept on your back on my lap. The mischief the both of you got into was only adorable because you and your brother were so sweet.
I love your beautiful fur - different shades of ginger with bright white on your belly. You would roll on your side when you wanted your belly rubbed. You were very serious about keeping your fur clean. If anyone dared to mess up your bathing job you would get right back to fixing it up again. Your quirks were unique for you. When you were hungry you would oddly begin to chew on plastic bags. We have various plastic bags around the apartment with your bite marks on them - to show you were there.
You have the cutest meow - for a long cat such as yourself. And the softest purr. You were always gentle and sweet and loved to be petted. Your favorite spot was at the base of your back - right near the tail.
I love your golden eyes.
I'm so sorry we have to say goodbye so soon. We should have had possibly another 7 years together.
I will look after your brother. Phoenix will miss you terribly. You have been together for 9 years. I know he'll be very sad when you are not there. I know that Gossy will also be sad and miss you. You both snuggled and gave each other baths all day long. I wish there was more I could do for you. I hope you know how much I love you. And will miss you. Goodbye my sweet Tigger who loved to jump, my adorable Golden Boy. Goodbye kitty kitty my pretty boy.
