As part of a two man team 20 year old students Will Copestake and Remi Mcmurtry flew from Scotland to Iceland in the summer of 2011. Their aim was to hike roughly 600km from Iceland's southern most point to its northern most tip. The first attempt failed with a late winter snowmelt boosting rivers to an uncrossable level. A second successful attempt was made in July where they crossed in 27 days. Two months was also spent hitch-hiking, trekking, living in tents and eating S.M.A.S.H in copious quantity all around Iceland's magical landscape.
