Cult german band das beat-ak,who sang in english had their european pop/rock career ended after they refused to support the berlin wall or perform and released a single in aid of keeping or resurrecting the berlin wall called "we all need a wall" from the third album "don't tear the wall down."
after the public anger and rejection from the german public and poor sales of the third album, the band disappeared and went in several directions, all of them currently and still unknown.
it was later revealed that the german band was in fact 4 scottish guys who played in a status quo cover band before moving to germany for laboring work in the early 80's,only to be moulded into a cult indie pop/rock band by a calculating and ruthless scottish business man, who owned several construction sites in the germany.
