Shot with a Canon Rebel XS and a Pentax Optio W60, these photos depict a 2010 bicycle journey through western Washington and Oregon. The first half of the route was inspired by “by chricycle” on Bikely.com (for the route see "Ride with GPS" website: ridewithgps.com/trips/3456933), except we climbed up the back roads on the eastside of Mt St Helens and then took the historic highway route along the south side of the Columbia River Gorge (highly recommended) via the Bridge of the Gods. We then headed down the Willamette Valley for a bit, popped over to the coast, and after a 100kms or so rode back to Portland where we caught the train home. A great trip with a wonderful partner! Total cycling distance was about 1000kms.
