“Insect Swarm II” is an interactive sound installation that blends sound art, sound performance, software art, and artificial life. The work presents survival status of living creatures, such as inhabitation, disturbance; communicate with humans, and mutation. The author creates the shapes and sounds of digital bionic creatures by programming, and projects it on the speaker. It’s presents unique landscapes such as insects inhabit in the hive. Audience can interact with the digital bionic creatures through the microphone, make digital sounds and change digital images, in real time. The author attempts to let audience reflecting the impact of technology on nature creatures.
