Slowly making the transition over to C++ thanks to an internal framework being developed by a team at the Barbarian Group led by Andrew Bell (drawnline.net).
This video shows seven days worth of earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or higher. Mostly, its just a test to learn the intricacies of coding in C++. The ultimate goal is to fully switch over to C++ from Java, but baby steps for now.
The Earth is composed of an amalgam of textures from a couple different sources. The diffuse map, elevation map, and normal maps were primarily culled from NASA's Blue Marble project (visibleearth.nasa.gov/view_set.php?categoryId=2363&p=1). Sadly, the topography and bathymetry maps do not feature prominent river formations so I had to add them separately from this source (naturalearth.springercarto.com/ne3_data/8192/textures/2_no_clouds_8k.jpg).
