I thought it would be fun to try out our Kessler Pocket Jib with the Canon C300. To make it challenging, we went to the top of a hill and experienced winds of 35 km/h. The pocket jib was weighted with 35 LBS of weight and placed on a Kessler K-pod and Hercules 2.0 head. I thought I'd have nothing to work with due to wobble and shake from the wind, but to my surprise the jib setup was solid :) I have to say, the quality of Kessler's products for the price are top notch. This setup is so easy to use we nailed it the first time we touched it.
This example had the setup placed in one position for the entire video. We also only gave ourselves 1.5 hours to setup and film, then tear it all down. The only variations in shots are based on the movement of the jib arm itself. I highly recommend this product as it opens up a world of dramatic shots that can really only be brought to the table with the magic of a quality jib :)
In case you're wondering why I left the shaky footage at 1:46... Those 2 yellow Labrador Retrievers came out of nowhere and mauled us with puppy love, there is nothing we could do but take it :) They totally knocked over my gear at the end and dragged my camera bag around! Then our black labs fought them off with superior ninja skills.
