Philip Bloom weekend challenge DISCIPLINE
I attended the Philip Bloom one-day workshop in Wimbledon this week (and won a Røde mic!) and thought I'd have a go at doing my own 1 minute film. It's fully in camera, hungover, no editing whatsoever apart from adding the music, hence why that awful shaky shot of the bridge is still in there...man I hate that shot! Wish I'd done some closer shots too but I guess that's the point, lessons learned.
Apologies for making BY FAR the most depressing film in the group, but I couldn't drop the idea once I'd thought of it. I live very close to this bridge that a young boy named Hussain jumped off whilst larking about with some friends in 2012 and unfortunately lost his life. Some people are dismissive of what happened because he chose to do it, but I remember being 15 and all the stupid stuff you do with your friends. I've jumped off piers and all that nonsense. It's still a tragedy.
