A fish eye effect.

The scene is rendered into a cubemap in a single pass by using a geometry shader.
Once that is done a fish-eye effect is achieved by fetching the cubemap using spherical coordinates. Some colour-correction/post-processing is also present.

Notice the proper (exaggerated) curved surfaces as opposed to the 2d grid distortion fish eye effect.
