'Remains of the Day' is a short film and meditation on loss and the relationship between fathers and their sons.
The short film is a companion piece to a poem I wrote in remembrance of those who gave their lives; fighting for freedom on the Normandy beaches, June 6th, 1944.
'We will rise and we will run.
We'll soar again into the sun.
Call brothers to arms and strain to roar, our hooves beaten down all bloodied and sore.
And as day breaks, you'll hear us say "The tide shall carry the remains of the day".
The tide shall carry the remains of the day.'
