Weather Inflections is sonic instrument that gathers sensor data from Perth, Australia and converts temperature, humidity, air, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and light information into a visceral soundscape. This interactive installation has been built into a suitcase, which allows for a trans-media rendering of Perth weather to be migrated and experienced anywhere in the world. When installed and connected to a wireless network at its destination, a real-time sonified tactile soundscape of Perth's weather is projected across spatial-temporal boundaries.

This project was created by the Media Art Postgraduate Studio from Crash @ Curtin.
