Shot on Super-8 film in 1979 during my junior year at college in SUNY New Paltz, this was the film that really got me moving down the path of pursuing animation and ultimately led to my getting my degree in Experimental Animation. The film is a modern day "Through the Looking Glass" odyssey visualized through clay animation where the mirror in this case is the television. The film includes some incredible music/sound design by the band Ice-9 which turned into a life long friendship and many later collaborations with the composer/musician Robert Rabinowitz. Many thanks also go out to my film teacher, mentor at New Paltz Suzanne Grossberg. This is the earliest film that I currenly have posted here on Vimeo and was my first clay animation.
