Creatives in the Pacific Northwest

Three Trick Pony is an intimate face-off between performer Linda Austin and a sculptural installation by David Eckard. As Austin passes through the interactive environment, the objects echo, interrupt, and amplify her gestures. This skin-to-skin collision highlights the impressibility of both body and sculpture, a shuttling back and forth of cause and effect that blurs the nominal separation between body and outside world.

The development of Three Trick Pony was supported in part by the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation’s SEED grant program.
