For my last 3 University credits to earn my film degree from Concordia University, I had the once-in-a-lifetime experience of being able to take a Digital Documentary Workshop at La Escuela International De Cine Y Tele.
Our assignment for the two week period was to shoot and edit a "cinematic document." The poetic Document is a term derived from the Beat poetry movement of the 1950's in America. The criteria given was essentially to use the fundamental elements of cinema; light, time, and space.
So here it is, my video diary. Its the exploration of the rich colors, shapes, and sounds I experienced while being a stranger in a strange land... captured through the lens of my various small, cheap, lo-fi cameras.
