Cloud painting is a term Arijit Das came up with to describe his distinct style of painting; and in some ways mimics clouds and their formation. It took him about two weeks to paint his latest installation, which also includes a projection on the opposing side of the room of the flow of people, captured by a hidden camera. Arijit calls this process Cloud Mapping. Like most of his work, Cloud Mapping connects his life experiences with the public’s reaction to art. In this video, Arijit shows us how his cross cultural background influenced his work.
This exhibit is on display at Artisphere in Arlington, Virginia - WED JUNE 26, 2013 to SUN AUG 18, 2013
