A documentary about what we would rather not notice - inside the effects of ignorance. Out of Sight explores the effects on how our society treats adolescents suffering from depression or those at-risk of suicide. It addresses the idea that such issues are best kept "out of sight."
Out of Sight explores the way society reacts to depression and self-harm among adolescents through numerous interviews with adolescents, adult survivors, teachers, parents, and mental health professional. We are trying to get to the root of why these issues are so often ignored and tell the stories of thousands of teenagers who are denied appropriate care for their mental health disorders, with their struggles simply dismissed as not being a serious concern.
