Let Yourself Go is a personal journey, embarked upon by the filmmaker, Bethan Lloyd, to investigate the use of dance in religious, spiritual and secular culture. Starting with the question 'Is there more to dance than just its recreational usge (and if so what?)', Bethan journeys from Hedonism to introspection through the use of dance. In the process she discovers things about herself which had remained hidden and obscured for years.
This film was made by Bethan Lloyd from London, and funded by the European Cultural Foundation through the BFI's involvement with the Doc Next Network programme, and Bethan recieved mentoring by a BAFTA member on the project.
