In May and June of 2013, Istanbul’s Gezi Park became a unifying symbol for anti-government activists and the epicenter of nationwide protests. Amidst the rioting crowds, Aisha Ellinger joined a group of protesters to plant an organic garden as a sign of peaceful resistance.
