Sing Let Down is part of the campaign Let Down (http://www.letdown.org.uk) organized by London Renters, a coalition of private tenants groups across London. The song brings together stories of unfair fees charged by letting agencies, high rents and the discrimination to get access to private renting in London.
On Saturday we rehearsed the song with a spontaneous pop up choir and perfomed it to various local letting agents and to the local community, bringing messages of frustration especially when it comes to bogus fees and high rents induced by letting agents.
They joined another London Renters group in Brixton who were inspecting letting agents, enquiring about their practices whilst making their dissent heard. At the end all interventions and the song was used as a vehicle to engage local residents and the community to express their views freely and to challenge the gentrification of London.
