Four of us descended Kolob Canyon a perfect Sunday in Southern Utah. Kolob is very high, if not at the top, of many canyoneers tick lists. Rarely open, as its not always safe, frigid cold, running water, and plenty of chances to snarl your rope in running water, Kolob has it all. Having reached mythical status due after the death of two Boy Scout leaders (not even going to touch that one) adds to the allure for many. This edit hits the highlights and skips the 4 hours of river walking, plus hour plus thrash up the MIA exit to get out. Worth the price of admission? Watch for yourself.
