Drone Cinematographers

I was a kind of anxious and excited at the same time when I went up to Sacramento to the Ski Sunset Ranch. I wasn't sure what to expect and if I can keep up with the speed of the boat. Also flying backwards isn't very natural because with the video goggles I don't see where I'm flying (that's where the spotter, my wife, comes in). But it was easier than expected and a lot of fun. I'm glad I shot some footage directly from the boat. It adds much more action to the aerial shots.

After doing a few water ski rounds on my own I figured that I like flying more than water skiing. Thanks to Steve, Howard, Greg and Jim for their perfect rounds of water skiing and letting me film them. And special thanks to Doug and Robby, the owners of Sunset Ski Ranch.

This is my last video using the servo-driven 2-axis AG500 gimbal. My new copter now has a direct-drive brushless 3-axis gimbal that can produce even more stable footage.
