Inertia is an installation by Clio van Aerde, as part of the 2014 "spectacular events" ("évènements spectaculaires") of art school ENSAD at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris. It revolves around an otherworldly community, detached from our modern technologies. They work together in a dreamy, nonchalant manner and rest on the manual work they have achieved. The project aims to question our relationship to time today, inviting passers-by to slow down and observe this indolent, slightly absurd performance.
Shot on Canon 5D Mk III, 50 mm.

Performed by : Clio van Aerde, Juliette Schenkel and Louis Olive.
