The Split Screen Studies Pt. I

In the first part of this series of split screen studies there is no split screen at all. - Or is there?

Well in fact, it is a zero split screen.

I have given it the appearance of a polaroid photo, besides the frame's colour, because I thought, though the picture's original format isn't square it looks quite beautiful, so give it a nice black frame very similar to the screen of a television set with no other lights around.

It shows a platform of a small railway station. I do not know what this board with those wires and cabels coming out of its bottom actually serves, maybe it contains fuses for the signals and rail-crossing arms, maybe it is out of service for a long time, but I don't know.

The video comes more or less unedited to you with only one tiny break roughly in the middle of it, just after a couple of little shaky kind of camera movements, where I edited the original two pieces together which is most likely better to recognize by the little pause the sound makes.

I've recorded the pictures a couple of weeks ago. The edit and upload took place on July 22nd, 2011.
