My latest work in progress.
30 seconds of the test room I'm using to experiment with stuff for the latest iteration of Squid Yes, Not So Octopus. All graphics and coding so far by me.
It's taken me around 6 months to finally settle on a look I'm happy with, now it's just attempting to make sure that different parts of the game all sit well enough together and nothing important is obscured *too much* by the effects.
Whilst there's not a lot game wise at the moment, you can see the player spawn in, the warning that appears whenever aliens are about to spawn in, the alien spawns themselves and testing the addition of asteroids out.
I'm not entirely happy with the graphics for the asteroids and I'll probably change them at some point before finally releasing this thing but for now, they're visible, they're functional, they'll do.
