György Sándor Ligeti (pronounced lígueti) was a Jewish Hungarian composer (who resided in Austria and then naturalized), widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of classical (mostly instrumental) music of the century.
Composed in 1967, this composition for large orchestra depicts the opening and closing of as Ligeti states "a window on long submerged dream worlds of childhood".
The fractal animation that accompanies the music is a icosahedron in many morphorms.
