Here in the northeast United states, we were treated to a late winter storm that dumped as much as two feet of snow on some areas in the region. I found this to be a great opportunity to test out the abilities of my new Lumix GH1 camera. All footage was shot using the stock 14-140mm lens in FHD with gamma set to dynamic. All footage was converted to Canopus HQ (standard) for editing in Edius v.5.1.
I am very impressed by the ability of the AVCHD format to faithfully capture and render chaotic motion such as falling snow without so much as one pixel artifact turning up.
