I was fortunate to have had the amazing experience of seeing Great White Sharks up close and personal at Guadalupe Island, Mexico from the safety of the dive cages on the 'M/V Islander' in Oct 2013. The entire trip was fantastic, including the boat, the crew, the food, my fellow passengers, and, of course, the sharks. Guadalupe Island is a relatively small, and for the most part uninhabited, island located out in the Pacific Ocean ~200 miles west of northern Baja California. Close to 140 individual Great Whites have been identified there so far, and the clear waters make cage diving encounters very likely during late Aug-mid Nov. If you ever get the chance to go, do so because you will not be disappointed!

Thanks go to fellow passenger Scott Drew for sharing some of his GoPro footage which I've included in this video.
